Riding groovy frequencies through Santa Cruz with Creatures Choir! Venue at…

…the Catalyst was mellow but the jams were ever so heavy; as expected, these boys get down to a unique sound. Plus, they do it well. The bandmates consist of Rory taking lead, Eli rippin’ the harp, Hank using his magic fingers to serenade a shiny 12 string, Adam slapping the bass, Brad slamming the drums and Nate providing the rhythm to keep it always extra groovy.
Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show – https://www.madalchemy.net/ kept the set visually entertaining with a constantly moving and ever persistent hallucinogenic background. You can be sober, they induce a visual trip for you! All done by a few magic fingers spinning glass discs filled with watercolor on overhead projectors. Ya like the ones that hag of a teacher used to use in your 5th grade math class. Only these folks found a much better use for such resources. Spin on magic fingers, keep spinning… everyone’s got magic fingers here. Ladies beware.
After the show, the last one of the tour, the boys and I headed to Cory’s house for some late night celebrations and shenanigans with the band. Antics included writing on the walls, drinking till we fall, and smokin’ till… well we never choke! Best you know we did it all, and we did it well, for the memories. Finally at roughly 4am everyone passed out so naturally Eli and I, in spirit of the great whimsical Easy Rider, bolted out to the driveway to lie down on some comfy asphalt aside the Harley. Threw the wool blanket over, and lights out Santa Cruz! Sweet dreams under pine trees.
